Review: Get Scared - Built For Blame, Laced With Shame

Author: Tori

Get Scared released their new EP "Built For Blame, Laced With Shame" today. This is the group's first release since their new lead singer Joel Faviere joined the band. I was big fan of Nicholas Matthews and before hearing Joel sing I wasn't sure if he could fit in the band like Nicholas did. Little did I know that Joel has an incredibly powerful voice and he brought great energy to every song on this album; he proved any doubters wrong!

The first track on the album is called "Built For Blame" and it is a great introduction for the record. If you are looking for an energetic, electric rock album then Get Scared will not disappoint you. The songs are catchy but edgy at the same time.

When a good band puts out a new release I always worry that their new album won't be better than the last. "Built For Blame, Laced With Shame" stays true the band's style and every song is stepped up musically and lyrically in comparison to their last album "Best Kind Of Mess". If you are a fan of bands like The Used or My Chemical Romance you will love "Built For Blame, Laced With Shame" by Get Scared.
